This mural was created on the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Independent ‘Solidarity’ Trade Union. This event in Polish history began the process of constructing social relations founded on human rights as well as on the freedom and dignity of the individual. Jacek Wielebski’s work appears to show that the process of ‘shaping the individual’ has yet to be completed.
