Shipyard cranes, a characteristic element in the landscape of Gdańsk, symbolise the labour of the Gdańsk Shipyard workers, whose resistance brought about the collapse of the system and opened the road to transformation for the remaining countries in the Eastern Bloc, including Romania. The legend “It ended in Bucharest” underlines the local dimension of the mural.
